About
Wood Creek Craft Works

Wood Creek Craft Works (WCCW) is the culmination of wanting to share the naturally unique beauty of the wood, the need for a more sustainable artistic medium, and the desire for self-sufficiency.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest made it easy to appreciate all aspects of nature. I have an immense love of the outdoors, and being encompassed in nature – using it to create – has been a passion of mine since as far back as I can remember. In this chapter of my life, I’ve found less-forgiving materials to be more enjoyable. Wood, bones, and stones have become my medium, with wood being my muse.

No trees are cut down for my projects. I only use felled or fallen trees. My inventory right now consists of trees that are over 100 years old, and all grew near or around the Willamette Valley. More than half of the wood is cut and dried on my property with a homemade kiln, and all are crafted by my hand.

From when the tree was felled or found to when it was cut and crafted, every aspect of the process has both its challenges and rewards.

So buy a piece I’ve lovingly created, bask in the artistry, and share in the unique beauty nature has given us!
